The entire point of that hardware is to run software. The OS is the base software that all the additional software runs on. You need an OS.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most computers do not come with a Windows cd anymore, but it should have been preloaded with the windows operating system (OS). Without an OS it's nothing more than a paper weight. If it didn't come preloaded then you will have to either purchase a Windows OS or some other OS. You can download a free version of Linux if you are brave enough to try and use it; however, I recommend staying with Windows if that is all you know.
