Hello there, Some of the differences between Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Pro is that Pro has a media center, bit locker for security and domain join which is used by small to medium sized businesses while Windows 8.1 is mainly used by consumers. For more information on Windows 8.1, please visit : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/dn140266.aspx I hope this was helpful to you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Windows 8.1 Pro has all the features of Win 8.1 and extras for the small business user. This includes joining corporate domains, hard drive encryption, group policy options and others. If you don't have a Windows Server running in your office and you don't need hard drive encryption, you probably don't need the Pro version.
