“I don’t have a credit card to pay for a game pass subscription, if I purchase one of these cards will it work or do I still need to put in a payment method after redeeming?”

If you use card it will convert to silver when expired. Once you activate the ultimate that account will be expected to go ultimate from day of renewal. Hopefully it doesn’t change policy anytime soon. 3 yrs is max you can do by ultimate at a time. Also, it can do use 4months and replace 3 months by cards to keep it rolling. Ultimate is worth it since you earn free pts towards dlc, subscription s, drawings, money in Microsoft account, perks and much more.
