Faster processor, memory, and graphics. Can play games and video in true 4K resolution at 60FPS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Xbox One X is slightly smaller, more expensive, but much more powerful. The Xbox one X is capable of playing games in 4K resolution with HDR, whereas the Xbox one X can only play games in 1080p with HDR, but has 4K upscaling. Both systems have 4K HDR supported blu-ray players built-in. The Xbox One X is $500 and the Xbox One S is $180 at the time of writing and usually bundles a game or two with it. The benefits of the Xbox One X is vastly sharper graphics, load times, and smoother/faster frames per second. The Xbox One X looks substantially better on both 4K and 1080p TVs, but due to the significant price difference I can only highly recommend the Xbox One X if you have 4K TV or plan on getting one. The experience is superb, but it you can currently play all games in the Xbox One family on both consoles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The X is a much more powerful console than the S. They both play the same games, however games on the X perform better and are substantially better looking. If you have a 4k TV and can afford the X, the X is the way to go.
