QuestionWhy would I need the adapter? They now have bluetooth connections onboard. Only reason I can think of is that the device has Windows 10 and not bluetooth, which is rare.

- Answer You can use this either way. The bluetooth dongle/adapter is just for wireless, but you can use this with a usb-c cable.

QuestionAs soon as I put in the adapter into my USB port, and say I don't have Bluetooth, can I still use the controller and make this Windows 10 ready-to-play for all video games on my PC? I don't want to have a dud on my hands if I buy this, that's why I ask.

- Answer Bluetooth connection on a pc has a little bit more latency but the biggest reason is for vibration. Vibration does not work when controller is connected trough blietooth but it does with the dongle.
