The CB will require hard wiring into your vehicle and the antenna will require tuning but there are plenty of how-to videos online. It would only work with other CB radios. If you want a radio that communicates with other two way FRS or GMRS walkie talkies you might want to look into our MicroMobile line. They are similar to a CB but they are GMRS radio that is smaller, easier to install, and they talk to the walkie talkies you can find in just about any big box store.
