Not sure about max capacity, but I installed a 64 micro sd card. The camera has been great so far. I got it for my autistic son who has trouble understanding how to use digital cameras, but he loves to take pictures. He had some difficulty at first but now he's a pro. It's easy to use and the menu functions are easy to navigate. Takes great pictures.
