QuestionDo you pay monthly fee ? / does it connect to any WiFi ? Is there an app for this I can use to see and check the camera where ever I go and if so is the app free ?

- Answer Hello Ashley, thank you for reaching out. The MobiCam doesn't require a subscription to use it. However, if you want to record the content and play it back you will need either a Micro SD card or the monthly Cloud Storage subscription ($4 basic 7-day plan). The Cloud Storage records the content of any motion detected by the MobiCam in the room it is surveilling. The App you would download to your mobile device or tablet is the MOBI Smart App. Through the App, once the device is paired to the WiFi, you will be able to view the live stream, and hear the audio of the camera in live time, or playback content captured from previous days.

QuestionI am looking for a secuity camera for my dad in an assisted living. Their wifi has not security. All the cameras I've seen need WPA. Do you have something that will work?

- Answer I'm not sure if this will answer your question maybe not, but as far as I can tell you need to create an account and password with the mobi app you need Wi-Fi and you need to buy a 32 GB memory card the memory card is not needed to record if you're recording off your phone but that memory card added will save at least a couple hours playback. The application with your phone seems to already do this but it's good to have a memory card just in case. When you're applying your camera to the Wi-Fi you need to enter the Wi-Fi name and password through the app. It's reliable for the price, I myself do not like the white noise through the mic when I'm trying to listen in, when I speak people can most of the time hear me clearly. It does the job I'm just not sure if it will keep recording when the Wi-Fi is out I'm not completely sure if Wi-Fi goes off if any playback after Wi-Fi goes off will be in the memory card.

QuestionHow do you set the Mobi Cam to record only when it detects motion? The instructions I've found are very minimal, and I cannot make it work. I have an sd card, and it's recording continously right now, but I only need it to record when detecting motion.

- Answer Hello, Thank you for reaching out. To set the motion detection on your MobiCam using the MOBI Smart App follow these instructions. . Open the MobiSmart app and go to the 'Home' page 2. Tap on the device you would like to set up for the function 3. Click on the settings option (top right-hand corner, looks like a pen drawing a line) 4. Tap on 'Detection Alarm Settings' 5. Ensure 'Motion Detection Alarm' is turned on 6. Click back to return to the camera's settings 7. under 'STORAGE' click on 'Storage Settings' 8. Ensure 'Local Recording' is on 9. Tap on 'Recording Mode' 10. Switch to 'Event Recording'

QuestionCan I switch to view one room then the other? How does the app work if I need to hook up two cameras for two separate bedrooms?

- Answer The application has up to a 16 channel function so if you had even more cameras than three you would easily be able to go between the three or see it all within one screen like a TV security camera. You can click on one to zoom in and then you can back out to see all the cameras again. Hopefully this answers your question

- Answer Absolutely NOT which I found out the hard way. I have a duel and tried to even have a dedicated 2.4 just for it…ended up messing up my entire wifi network. Returned and bought four ring stick cameras instead….don’t waste your time or energy. This was the 2nd set of pet cameras I have purchased. My original set was malfunctioning and it took 3 months before they finally successfully set up. This set, I tried for 3 days and finally said nope! Ring set up in seconds as I already have outdoor and the doorbell ring. Even if you don’t already have Ring, they set up in seconds compared to this piece of junk

QuestionCan the night vision be disabled? I use a camera on a window sill to look on to my front porch which works great during the day but at night, the night vision light reflects off the window and we can no longer see anything.

- Answer Hello John, Thank you for reaching out. When using the MOBI Smart App, you can go into the MobiCam settings menu and manually turn on or off the night vision IR Sensor feature. The MobiCams menu settings can be found on the livestream page of the MobiCam at the top right-hand corner. You will find a pencil with a line underneath. Open that menu then select "IR Night Sensor" and turn off or on as you desire.

- Answer Hello Darian, thank you for reaching out. We apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing with the MobiCam. You can go into the settings (Top right hand corner, pencil with a line drawn underneath) and shut off sound under the SOUND option of the setting menu. The only time that the camera will make noise after set up is when it goes from Day vison to night vision. There will be a click sound you hear in that transition.

- Answer Hello Cs, thank you for reaching out to us. As long as the home you are trying to pair your device to has a 2g Wi-Fi connection; you should be able to. Also, with dual-band, you may need to sign into the solidified 2g option with the user name and passcode of the Wi-Fi you're attempting to connect to. If there is only one option in the available networks, it may not work as sometimes the device will pick up the 5g connection, prohibiting the intended operation of the device.

- Answer Hello, thank you for reaching out. Our MobiCam monitors are all white. However, they do have the motion-detection feature which will begin to record upon motion being detected. Also, a notification will be sent to your mobile phone via the MOBI App when the motion is detected. Our units are not voice-activated devices though they have a two-way audio feature.

When the device is displaying "offline" in the MOBI App it has lost its connection to the WiFi. Placing the Micro SD card in the device shouldn't affect the connection the device has with the WiFi. MobiCam is compatible with any Micro SD card ranging from 16GB to 128GB. - Answer Hello and thank you for reaching out. The MobiCam does require a Micro SD card to record content. The MobiCam will still surveil without it but you won't be able to playback any content until the Micro SD card is inserted.
