I had a similar issue and returned it tot when store with no issues..... The item was returned to manufacturer and I left with a new cable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The manufacturer warranty on that cable is 1 year. I would recommend speaking to BestBuy to try and locate your receipt. If you can find it and prove your are within the year warranty, take the product and receipt to the Geek Squad counter in your local BestBuy and they will evaluate it for warranty.
