I just bought the Juice Pack for my iPhone X last night. Up until today I have used my phone on. A regular basis for CarPlay. Once I added the Juice Pack to the equation I have gotten Car Play to work for all of about 15 seconds. Other than those 15 seconds it does not realize that the phone is connected. For those that answered this question and aren’t familiar with CarPlay; as of this time (November 2018) CarPlay is mostly USB dependent and does not work with Bluetooth with very few exceptions such as the newest BMW 5 series. The Mophie does have an internal lightening connector that connects to the phone inside the case but the outside of the case uses MicroUSB. Somewhere in between is where I am guessing my problem lies. My vehicle and phone are less than a year old and the case is less than 24 hours old so the OPs question is a valid question and I feel bad that he got misleading answers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My mophied iphone does not work with CarPlay. It works consistently without the mophie.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.to you carplay you need a LIGHTNING CONNECTOR as CARPLAY IS NOT BLUETOOTH as other have mentioned. I believe this case uses an android type USB port for charging, so NO, it will not work with carplay.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can confirm that in my 2019 Ford Fusion using Sync3, when I connect the iPhone directly to the USB using the lighting plug Apple CarPlay works. When connecting via Bluetooth, no. When connecting to the Mophie Juice pac Micro usb, No. Very disappointing. Will apple, Mophie and ford get together and fix this?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had an older Mophie red case that had a toggle that would allow the phone to work off its own battery or when switched would draw from the battery pack. I never could get it to work. I recently purchased a newer model. It doesn’t have the switch. The new case works, however you have to make sure the cable being used is for data transfer, not just for charging. I have a iPhone 7 Plus and use a data / charging cable and it works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Also not with Android
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Having this case does not affect my phones ability to connect in my car. It solely protects the phone exterior and provides an on the go charge just as a separate charge bank would minus having the wire going from the bank to the phone. This case does have a lightning plug inside that goes into your charging slot of your phone and the case itself uses either a wireless charge device or a micro usb plug to charge but still allows the phone to work as if it did not have the case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I found it better to use the original mophie cable but any data cable should give you wired Apple CarPlay ability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works in most cars, however it just depends on how your car recognizes the juice pack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mophie is a charging case, it doesn’t interfere with CarPlay. Even if you connect it to your car charger. Btw, It uses the android charging cord for the case. It still doesn’t effect CarPlay Hope that answers your question
