A:AnswerI bought this modem November 2021. Connection speed keeps dropping. Have to reset the modem every day or so to get the modem back up to 300 mps. It will drop down to 50 mps and i have 900 mps from Comcast. Its not the router as i also bought a Linksy 6e gaming router at the same time. Dont like this modem. :(
A:AnswerI don't know that it does, Security is primarily the responsibility of the router. This is just a cable modem. It MOdulates/DEModulates the internet signal from the cable company and passes that signal along to the router as ethernet. Some devices incorporate cable modem and wifi router. This device does not.

I used a dual modem&router combo from Arris and wanted better signal/strength in my home so I changed with this modem and a wireless router set-up. Been working good so far .

- Ethernet cable is not securely in place either at the modem or at the router
- Router could be limiting bandwidth
- Modem was not activated with your internet service provider (ISP)
