Is the MOTO G5 PLUS compatible with ALEXA? null

The Alexa app works with Apple OR Android phones (or Amazon tablets).

It works with the Alexa Android app, which just allows you to configure an Alexa device, not talk to Alexa through your phone.

I have the Alexa app on my phone. It handles all of the Amazon functions for setting up and using the Echo Dot, etc. As far as I know, you cannot talk to it and expect and answer. That's what Google Assist on the phone is for.

As far as I am aware, no, it is not. So far there is only one phone that I know of that is currently Alexa compatible and that it the HTC U11 phone. Others will probably come along later. From a recent Amazon Alexa email: Alexa in your pocket The HTC U11 is the first smartphone with hands-free access to Alexa. No need to open an app or press a button—control smart home devices, check the weather, and more when you're on the go.
