Hi Ozzy, Universal unlocked means that the device is unlocked to all its carrier around its region (US unlocked). This phone is GSM capable phone and may work outside the US, though we cannot guarantee all features are supported. Please check with your mobile service provider to see if your SIM will operate. Please note that we never recommend buying a phone in one region for ongoing use in another as Motorola phones are only in warranty in the country/region in which they are intended for sale. -Jess
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Universally unlocked means CDMA and GSM unlocked. Moto G7 Plus is GSM unlocked since it does not support CDMA. It is good for international since most countries are GSM systems but you have to make sure the frequency required by a specific country is supported by the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This model doesn't work with GSM but I have it working Verizon 4G LTE US. I believe that CDMA was used only for 2G and 3G. I moved the sim card from a G7 (plain) and it all works.
