A:AnswerIf the phone you got is a universal unlocked phone. There are different versions of the "unlocked" phone and it can be a GSM unlocked phone (works with ATT and TMO) or universal unlocked (works with all major and minor carriers both prepaid and postpaid). The Universal Unlocked G7 phone was around $270. But I have a CDMA Sim and it works like a charm.
A:AnswerYes, that's what I did. You just need to transfer the sim card from the old phone to the new one. Using the wi-fi on both phones, you can easily transfer all your apps and data. I would recommend keeping your old phone around just in case. You can use the Android File Transfer app to get at anything you might need that didn't get transferred.
A:AnswerIt means Best Buy supplies a Sim card with the phone for the Service Provider selected (Verizon, T-Mobile, etc). Saves having to acquire one from the Service provider. I have no understanding as to why they discount the phone if it is activated through them. Assume they get a cut from the Service provider
A:AnswerBest answer is for you to contact that carrier. It's a universal unlocked phone, though, so it should would with just about any carrier worldwide.
A:AnswerMy G7 is on Sprint. Best Buy set mine up when i bought the phone, but I don't suspect that it would be difficult to do it yourself. Call Sprint for more information: *2 if you're already a customer.
A:AnswerI have Consumer Cellular too, just request to have your info from your old phone transferred to the G7 and your sim card should slide in with no problem if you have a Moto. Consumer Cellular sent me a message when I set everything up on my G7. They will give you a pin number for if they need to contact you and will let you know that they have noticed that you have bought a G7.
