A:AnswerYes, Dip3886, Our phones should work in countries where you may be traveling, though we cannot guarantee all features are supported. Please check with your mobile service provider to see if your SIM will operate. Please note that we never recommend buying a phone in one region for ongoing use of another as Motorola phones are only in warranty in the country/region in which they are intended for sale. -Jess
A:AnswerYes, it has both a physical sim card slot and what is known as an “e-sim” so technically it is a dual sim phone - although currently both sims cannot be active at the same time. Motorola was supposedly going to eventually put out a software upgrade that would allow both sims to be active at the same time but I have had my Razr for nearly a year now and to my knowledge this has not happened yet. WHAT’S THE HOLDUP MOTOROLA?
That being said, you do not need a dual sim phone to have two phone lines on a single phone. In fact you could do this on single sim phones even 20 years ago. The advantage of the dual sim phone of course is that both numbers can be with entirely different service providers and this is very handy when traveling overseas. For example, you can keep you home country number active on one sim while activating the other sim with a local service provider. Now of course if I want to do this when traveling overseas I have to use my older dual sim 4G phone rather 6than my new Razr 5G because Motorola is dragging its feet on its promised dual sim capabilities for the Razr.
A:AnswerHi Roger, Thanks for your interest. If you look at our carrier compatibility list here: https://www.motorola.com/us/carrier-compatibility, the Motorola Razr 5G is compatible with Verizon. However, there is still no 5G support. - Mike
A:AnswerI use the Razr 5G on Google Fi, which uses T-Mobile and Sprint networks. Reception is pretty good, though at home the phone prefers to start calls on wifi over using cellular networks. RCS messaging works too!
A:AnswerHi Tee, thanks for your interest. This phone may not immediately support the use of eSIM and nano SIM together. Use of eSIM is not supported by all carriers. A:AnswerHi Tee, Motorola is headquartered and based in the US, and much of the work that goes into creating a phone is here in the US. However, like most manufacturers, the phones are primarily built overseas.-Jess
A:AnswerHi Alex, thanks for your interest. We can't guarantee that all carrier features will work outside the US as this phone is a US Variant and has a different band. I would suggest contacting your preferred service provider to see if this phone will work with their service. We do not encourage customers buying a phone from a different country as the warranty and compatibility are limited to where it was purchased. Thanks. - MIke

A:AnswerHi GaryG, thanks for your interest. Wi-Fi Hotspot is carrier-specific and should be part of your carrier's settings. Have you contacted your carrier regarding this? They can provide how many devices can be connected to a Wi-Fi Hotspot. Please get in touch with your carrier first to get further details. - Mike
