Is it possible? Maybe if you have a decent amount of experience, but it's not a simple replacement. It's at least a moderately difficult process (6 or 7/10 with 10 being Professional only) even if you have done such things before. You'd have to pull the back off breaking the glue using a Heat Gun, a pry/spudger, and a lot of patience. Assuming you don't break the back glass cover and get through the waterproof adhesive, then there are around 10 screws to remove a cover plate and another adhesive holding the battery to the case (much easier to get through). The actual battery replacement isn't hard since it's not soldered to the mainboard, but it's going to be nearly impossible to put the back on and maintain any water resistance using adhesive or doublestick tape.
