It works off of your phones connection.

Please try again later.It creates a little wifi for itself, so when you follow directions hooking it up it will pick up the Bluetooth and link via WiFi to your phone and interface with you cars system. So when you want your phone linked once set up, leave Bluetooth and wifi on and this device plugged into USB will sling you android auto up to screen.
