A:Answer This is my 6th year doing Christmas light shows synchronized to music using various light & sound show systems that make the lights go on, off, shimmer, and fade/dim. And I'm still using all the same lights and decor that I started using 6 yrs ago. Just stick with simple lights and decor that can only be on or off and don't have any special functions (i.e., avoid using "multi-function" lights & decor that have a control box with a switch or button that makes the lights do different things). Also, don't use Martha Stewart brand lights because they've been known to catch on fire when dimmed/shimmered. Use LED lights & decor as much as possible if you like a lot of lights because each of the 6 outlets have a maximum load of 240 watts, which would be reached quickly if using incandescent lights.
