Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can probably buy a permanent basket filter, but it doesn't come in the box with it. It's a basket filter, not a cone filter. I don't *think* Mr. Coffee makes any cone filter coffee makers. You might look into Cuisinart. I considered that brand until I realized it came with a cone filter, because, just the opposite of you, I wanted a basket filter! Good luck in your search.
