Questionmy coffee pot worked well for a month or so. Now at least half of he water I put in leaks from the hole in the bottom. I can't brew a full amount of coffee . What is that hole? nothing has fallen out of it?

- Answer The silver on the Mr. Coffeemaker seems to be plastic, the silver on the coffee pot is metal. It makes good coffee, enough for two mugs. I am pleased with my purchase, I bought it on sale.

QuestionWill a Cuisinart Gold Tone filter that fits 4-5 cup coffeemakers be used in Mr. Coffee 5-cup coffeemakers or would it be too tall? Several readers mentioned difficulty fitting a paper filter into the coffeemaker causing a spill of coffee grounds.

- Answer The filter basket has a smaller diameter than any other coffee maker I’ve had before - even normal 1-4 cup coffee filters get squished at the top as you place them in it. I’d say if your filter just fits a normal 1-5 cup coffee maker, it’s probably not going to fit this.
