QuestionHow is the fan noise on this laptop on idle and under a light load like web browsing? Do the fans run all the time or do they shut off when the system isn’t under load?

- Answer At light load or idle, there does seem to be a very slight amount of air flowing, but I cannot hear the fan.

- Answer it has two separate jacks, one for mic in, one for stereo headphones out. you will need a splitter.

QuestionI saw that this laptop's ssd is m2 type and not a nvme ssd. I want to put one pcs 512 gb samsung pro970 nvme ssd before i buy. Is it possible to do this upgrade at Best Buy store at same day that i buy. i heard that it is very difficult to upgrade gs65

- Answer Yes, you can absolutely do this. Out of the box, it's an M.2 SATA SSD. M.2 drives come in two different forms: SATA and PCIe (NVMe). This laptop comes with one SATA drive pre-installed, but it WILL support TWO NVMe drives. I'm currently running two 970 EVOs in this laptop. It is fairly difficult to upgrade the laptop due to the motherboard being inverted. You'll have to disconnect the battery, speakers, and a handful of ribbon cables, and then remove the motherboard in order to install the new drives. It's not optimal, but it's not especially difficult. Just take your time and be careful handling the ribbon cables. - Answer No issue so far with GS65... previous MSI from last year was horrible/keys on keyboard stopped working/popping off. This is the 4th MSI laptop I've bought so hoping no issue with this one.

- Answer Yes. There is a 512 GB SATA SSD in one M.2 slot, and a second free M.2 slot for upgrades. Both support NVMe, though the included drive is SATA.

- Answer According to MSI product web page, there are only 2 options for display - UHD 60Hz, and FullHD 144Hz. So I assume this is 144Hz display.
