• A:Answer From my research, DDR5 is not compatible with DDR4. It has a different notch to prevent inserting DDR5 into DDR4, even though they have the same number of nodes. This is probably because the motherboard regulates the voltage for DDR4, whereas DDR5 manages its own voltage. I assume the reasoning for this is cost.
