    • Answer It is fairly simple to upgrade the memory for the GE66 Raider. Once removing the back panel, you will have access to both memory slots where you can install two 32Gb sticks that will put you at 64Gbs of memory.

  • QuestionWhat is the monitor’s response time? The description says it’s refresh is 240 hz which is good for QHD. But it doesn’t list the response which is also helpful in determining the quality of the screen. Also what is the SRBG?

  • QuestionIs this laptop supported Advanced Optimus as well as G-Sync?

    • Answer The MSI GE66 11UH-202 does not have Nvidia Optimus or G-Sync. It has a MUX switch that allows for you to switch between the integrated GPU in the CPU or the discrete GPU. The MUX switch can be accessed either within the BIOS or through the use of the MSI software. A restart is required once the change is made in order for the hardware switchover to occur. And sadly, this laptop's display does not support any kind of adaptive refresh rate. However, the external ports will support G-Sync through the DP 1.4 port, or G-SYNC compatible connectivity through the HDMI 2.1 port. Just make sure the graphics drivers are up to date with the most current version.

  • QuestionDoes Best Buy offer the option to upgrade the HD to a 2TB Gen4 SSD and the operating system windows 10Pro 64bit?

    • Answer I'm sure Best Buy services would love to do this for you but it'd cost a pretty penny for install. Both of those things can be done fairly easily by the end user. There's an empty m.2 nvme pcie 3.0; the included nvme drive seems to be pcie 4.0, but you could either keep that as your OS drive and add in a 2tb one, or flip them around. Also idk why it says FHD (the box I received even said FHD). This is QHD 240Hz, not FHD 360Hz I'd say opening the laptop does take time and patience. May wanna watch a YouTube video about it. One of the screws is hidden under a sticker sort of how they used to say "warranty voided if sticker broken " or some such.

    • Answer The laptop is still shown as a current model (11UH-202) on the MSI website. It's been consistently been selling out whenever stock arrives. I just bought mine two weeks ago and it literally sold out right after I submitted the payment. Not sure if I got the last one in that batch, but they have been sold out since. Have patience and keep looking!
