Ive had this for about one month or so, give or take a few days maybe a week extra... bottom line is this... The overall quality of the structural integrity of this laptop much less the hinges you ask of.. is on par with most higher end laptop manufacturers and nothing short of below or above average hinge quality or performance... ? If you really want to know something... Your initial inquiry about said hinge quality/issues is the first time Ive heard of it being brought up at all with this particular model. The screen is nothing spectacular for a 15.6' screen that has a blazing fast refresh rate of 240Hz and that does nothing to the strain applied to said hinges and how they perform or hold up while in use.. when i say in use i mean the initial opening and closing of the screen.. which is something we do once every time we use the system unless your like me and have it in a more stationary position that basically requires me to open the laptop one time so far and ill only close it when i need to take it somewhere.. which is basically nowhere at all.. like i have no need to travel around with a $2K LAPTOP and assume its going to be in a safe environment at all times? lol
