Yes it has an LGA1700 socket which is used by 12th and 13th gen intel processors. The 12 in 127000 refers to 12th generations
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. This motherboard is compatible with any 12th or 13th Gen Intel processor. The Intel core i7 - 12700KF processor is a 12th gen processor, so it will work with a 600 series motherboard. Note that you may need a new cooler for the processor because it has a different processor size than the prior generation processors. It requires a mounting bracket that fits the LGA1700 socket. I purchased a Cooler Master Black Series HYPER 212 fan cooler to go with this motherboard and it came with the right bracket. Check that the cooler will fit your case based on its height which the case manufacturer will give you. If you have an existing cooler you would like to keep, check with the cooler manufacturer if they have a kit for mounting the previously used cooler. You can search you tube videos for mounting procedures for both the processor and the cooler. NOTE: this motherboard ONLY uses DDR4 memory. You CANNOT use DDR5 memory as it has a different slot layout. I re-used my DDR4 memory from my old motherboard and moved it to this one. I will also assume you have a separate graphics card as this processor does not have an on board graphics controller (KF=no graphics). So mount your graphics card and use it or else you will get no picture when you boot it. Also, the name of the processor is a 12700KF, not 127000KF. I mounted this in a Corsair Icue 220T case with 2 sticks of Corsair RGB pro DDR4 Memory and the black edition cooler and they all fit. I purchased a 13600K CPU for this motherboard which required a BIOS update before it could be used, which is more complicated. This is because this board was made before 13th gen intel CPUs were yet made. But your 12th gen CPU will go straight in with no problem. Sorry for writing you a book but I don't want you to get new items which won't work together and be bummed when they don't. If you go to the MSI support web site for your motherboard, they have a CPU listing showing all processors that will fit this motherboard.
