First, make sure your DISH remote is properly paired to your brand of TV (LG, Samsung, Sony, etc.). Second, make sure your connection from your TV goes through the HDMI Arc portal on the Nakamichi sound bar. AS LONG AS YOUR DISH REMOTE IS PAIRED WITH YOUR TV, THE HDMI ARC portal will facilitate volume and powering on and off for both the soundboard and TV. Going through HDMI Arc eliminates any need to pair the sound bar through DISH since you are already paired through the TV, which controls power on both the TV and sound bar. Sometimes, my sound bar and my Samsung TV stop working together (through HDMI Arc) and have to be reset. You’ll need to unplug everything - the TV, DISH receiver and sound bar from the power outlet. After doing this, plug all three units back in. Next, turn on the TV with the TV remote and turn on the sound bar with the sound bar remote. Wait for DISH to boot up and then you should have sound through the sound bar. Next, test your DISH remote . As long as the input from the TV is through the HDMI ARC portal, the volume should come through the sound bar and you should be able to control the volume and power on the TV and sound bar on the DISH remote. Hope this helps.
