No you do not need an additional receiver. And yes it will work. Plug the hdmi on arc to both the tv and the bar
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No receiver needed. Hook all components to the sound bar and then hook the tv up with ARC connection to the sound bar. I am running a LG C9 and the only thing plugged to my tv is the sound bar. They also have specific instructions for each brand tv. Go to their web site.

They will all connect directly to your tv by HDMI arc, HDMI, USB, coaxial or optical connection. Yes, it should work with the Samsung Tv mentioned. Simple setup and I set my system up in less that 30 minutes.
