- Answer Hi! It's very easy to install yourself. It took me 15 minutes following the video tutorial step by step. It even comes with all the screws you need and an exact size screwdriver. I used my drill to make it faster, but it wasn't a must.

- Answer You can buy a extended warranty from best buy during your purchase. It maybe just a replacement plan. Nest has a good tech support team. Not sure how good it is since Google now owns Nest.

- Answer It is not easy to control your unit. The program needs to control it. The software may hang up. I had a problem when I tried to control the humidifier in my furnace. A good heating contractor can install the Nest. Nest can give you a list of dealers that are certified installers in your area. There is a fee for this sevice.

- Answer I put two of these in my 200 year old house. That is the beauty of the Nest - it does not require any fancy wiring.
