• I don't believe this would work. Google uses a proprietary mesh system. It's kind of a buy into their system deal. It lacks some advanced features for sure, but it really comes down to preference and ease of use. I work in IT as an engineer and relinquished my need for high level networking years ago. I basically traded the advanced features for being a more conscious tech consumer. Not everything you use needs to be connected to the web. IoTs serve a purpose, but it really depends on what you are trying to do with your environments. For me, Google mesh is just fine.
