My google nest works very well with my spectrum wifi. There is no additional cost to connect the nest to the modem. Nest connects to modem via ethernet and then wirelessly to remote units. Installation is quick and easy. You need to download a free google home app to a mobile device, and the app will walk you through the setup process. You then use the app to manage the network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use my entire system with Spectrum as my internet service provider. They provide only the cable modem, which I then have connected to a Google Wi-Fi router along with 3 additional mesh network access points such as this one. If you plan to only use a single router, you would not want to use this "access point only" version, you would first want to buy the router and then expand the network as needed. There is no monthly fee directly for using this device. However, the Google assistant does have the *option* of paying for premium services such as Spotify, Google Play Music, or similar services that have their own monthly fees. If you are paying Spectrum a monthly fee for "renting" a router that they provide, I would definitely look into replacing it with your own. It will pay for itself in no time. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use Nest Wifi with Spectrum Internet service if you have a modem provided. There is no monthly fee, Nest Wifi is free to use after purchase. You can simply connect Nest Wifi router to your modem via the Ethernet port and then connect the Nest Wifi point wirelessly to create a mesh Wi-Fi network in your home.
