You can use it outdoors but I would not leave it outside. My wish signal was able to cover my yard.

You can add multiple Wifi points to cover the whole area or extend your Wi-Fi. As long as it is within range of your primary Nest Wifi router, your Wifi points can be connected wirelessly. Ideally, one Nest Wifi can cover up to 2,200 sqft. But where they are placed, the layout of your house, and physical obstructions like furniture can impact the total coverage.
