This is all dependent on the amount of use the Nest x Yale lock receives in the home, but should be expected to last roughly one year if not more.

But one of the things I like about this lock is that it has a concealed port at the bottom where you can plug in a 9V battery for temp power in case the internal batteries run out. So instead of hiding a spare key outside your house, hide a 9V battery and remember your code.
