Gigabit is faster for traffic between computers on the same network but is unlikely to make a big difference on download speeds unless you’re paying for gigabit internet speeds. Regardless to future proof I suggest buying the gigabit switch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will want to go with a Gigabit Ethernet switch (10/100/1000) versus the old Fast Ethernet switch (10/100). If you are already paying for a +50mbps service you would likely not see that speed with the Fast Ethernet switch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure but I would only purchase one that states it is gigabit. I do not have gig speed connection but am getting in the 300 bps range on a wireless connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Gigabit is 1000 mbps, that other one probably maxes out at 100mbps. This one has a significant speed jump!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The gigabit one is faster. It is capable of handling transfer speeds 10x faster than "Fast Ethernet". Fast is 100mbps transfer speed vs 1000. Get the gigabit one and you'll never have to look back or rethink it.
