Time Warner left the old cable modem that had a phone line in it, dropped charging me for it, and I split the coax to go to both my new cable modem and the old VoIP modem. I Didn't need to buy anything fancier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can not plug a phone line into this router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A phone cannot be plugged in. Time Warner Cable told me that there is not a modem that a phone can be connected with currenty produced that is compatible with their systems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have Time-Warner Cable as my internet, phone and cable provider. The phone modem that they supply is free--I am not charged for it as I was monthly for the cable internet modem, which I just purchased. If you have TWC, the same should be true for you--you never have to pay for the telephone modem. Call them!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This modem works with TWC. You can keep the TWC modem for the phone and they do not charge rent if you have this type cable modem. I checked with TWC before purchasing to verify.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need a splitter. Most cable companies will supply the splitter, and to keep you as a phone customer, will let you use their modem for your phone only for free.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot plug your phone into this modem. If your phone is through your cable company, then it will use the phone jacks installed into the home. There are some modems available that include a phone port for VoIP service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are cable modems available that allow you to use phone service with it as well through your cable provider, but Suddenlink Communications doesn't offer them for sale. I use to work for Suddenlink several years ago when they first started phone server and they used the Arris brand of Docsis 3 cable/telephony modem for there Phone customers. Better known by cable techs as a DTA. Larger cable companies such as Comcast offer Xfinity modems to be bought from third party retailers for there internet and phone customers. Not sure if one of those would work with Suddenlink. Best bet if desperate would be to find one that an individual who had Suddenlink is selling, but not sure if it will work because I know at one time Suddenlink didn't offer them to be bought by the customer.
I would recommend:
