What does dual band do for the router null

It allows you to have more access at the same time. Imagine a regular router is a 2 lane road, a dual or multi band router is a 6 lane interstate. Hope this helps. It's how a tech guy explained it to me.

Dual-band routers support both the 2.4 GHz band and the more robust (and less crowded) 5 GHz band. It’s the 5 GHz band that’s going to benefit gamers, streamers, and so on.
