• A:Answer This unit will automatically provides two bands (2.4 & 5). It will now depends on your devices if they are capable of using either of the two bands. If your printer works for 2.4 only, then it will pick up 2.4 and not 5. Hopes this helps.

However having internet service allows you to not only share files between machines, but allowed you to share internet access between connected machines.

• A:Answer Once you connect the router, you won't need the ethernet cable with other wireless devices. If your device isn't wireless, then the router becomes optional. Also, if you have the modem/router already, an additional router isn't needed.

• A:Answer You don't need wireless gear to use this router... BUT... If you have no wireless gear, then there is practically no point in buying this (or any other) wireless router. If you need more WIRED connections and have no wireless gear, save yourself some cash and simply buy an Ethernet "fast-switch." Netgear makes some good, inexpensive models, much lower price than a wireless router.

• A:Answer Yes, no problem. It just offers an additional WiFi signal to connect with. I had already purchased the Google WiFi 3 puck system, for another modem/router that did not perform well at all. So I decided to just go ahead and connect it to the NETGEAR router.
