Not knowing if you are on a laptop or desktop. If you are on a desktop them your wifi is probably on and you are surfing from someone else's network, or from your phones network. If you have a desktop and it is equipped with wifi the same scenario is possible. If you are on a desktop that doesn't have wifi then the trouble is in the modem. If your are connected strictly to an Ethernet cord then this is the case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Red internet light, I have Century Link DSL internet, My Net Gear modem / router internet light stayed red after my service was interrupted, i contacted netgear support, i was instructed to reset the router by shuting off the modem by the black button in back for a full 2 min, that did not resolve the issue because my internet provider changed its confiquration set points to Dynamic spectrum. I had to use the yellow cat 5 connection line to connect my PC to the modem in port # 1 to access the NetGear set up software. plug in / log in with the net gear https://www.modemlogin.net and reconfiguire your DCHP or IP address to dynamic. your internet provider will give you the correct ISP settings when asked. scroll through all the various setting and choose netgear software update, this will allow your equipment to update immediately to the latest operating confiquirations to prevent future gliches.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had this happen with a CenturyLink modem/router and their tech specialist said it was the first time he had heard of it. He had me reboot the unit (pulled the power plug; waited 15 seconds; plugged it back in) and the light finally went to green after the unit went through its restart routine. You may have the same gremlin.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to call your service provider so they can get the modem associated with your account. I had to do that with mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If someone has set up your internet for you then they knew what they were doing. I am guessing there is a router connected to this ADSL modem. They probably configured the modem to work as a bridge and told the router all the info it needed to sign into your internet service. This is the most stable way to use your ADSL with a router but takes a little advanced knowledge. You can relax until your modem or router starts failing. At that point you may need help keeping the configuration as bridging a modem leaves it useless with out the router to do the signing in. replacing thr modem will upset your current router as well. So its best to leave things alone
