If I read some other reports about this modem correctly you can't attach a device to each port and expect it to act like a router, correct?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Pablo, The Netgear Nighthawk CM1200 is a modem with 4-ports you can run CAT-5 or CAT- 6 cable directly to your computer or other device. It is basically a cable modem router. I run a Cat-5 cord directly to my Amazon Fire TV and one computer. The rest I use the WIFI to connect. I already have a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 DOCSIS 3.0 but I recently upgraded to Cox GIGA BLAST and needed a router to handle the speed - The CM1200 DOCSIS 3.1. So you don't need a router but you can connect one if you choose. Either Netgear router would work. Always look at the Port Speed Connection as well. Hope this helps.

My neighbors had trouble with their internet all the time. I got them setup on this setup over the weekend and they are very happy
