A:AnswerWe recommend contacting your service provider to confirm compatibility prior to purchasing the product. Most cable internet services will require a modem.
A:AnswerYou can alway have your cable provider send you just the modem and then plug this in. Saved me the $5/month fee to have wifi. I guarantee this will be a better wifi router than what your currently have. It even comes with a phone app you can use to access your router and make changes to settings. Good luck!
A:AnswerSince you apparently have another router plugged into your modem and you plan to use this as an extender, you do not have to plug this into your modem or your existing router. If you ever plan to use this as an access point, then the router will have to be physically attached to your primary router.
A:AnswerThis unit is not a "modem" and requires internet service be provided to it via network cable. You would hook this to your Comcast unit and turn off the WiFi on that Comcast unit. Speeds will remain at whatever level you have contracted from Comcast, although this unit does a better job of providing WiFi signal than the Comcast unit does.
