• A:Answer Yes, it needs a data plan/SIM card to work. If you purchase through the installment plan there are various data tiers at different price points. You can also pay the full price of the hotspot then use a prepaid SIM card inside the device. This is the method I use since I only use the hotspot on trips and add money to the prepaid account when needed. $35 gets you 15GB on the prepaid plan The SIM card is inside the device under the battery.

Q: QuestionIs this good enough for work from home and teams meetings?

• A:Answer I use my Nighthawk M6 Pro to remote in to our server to work from home and it works great. I don't do teams meetings, but I do use Zoom meetings and it works fine. The only problem is when AT&T slows your data claiming excessive use, which they do at a fairly low threshold even though we pay for the highest tier business unlimited plan. When we purchased the Nighthawk, Starlink was not available in our area. Considering the cost of the Nighthawk ($460) vs the cost of the Starlink equipment ($600), I would go with Starlink because it's not much more and there is no throttling of data. Even though we already purchased the Nighthawk, we're considering changing because AT&T constantly throttles the data, even for an allegedly unlimited plan. I've heard very good things about Starlink but have not tried it.

• A:Answer Yes. Each device will require their own simcard. But I'm sure there might be a way to use your own simcard in the hotspot. I wouldn't recommend using your phone's simcard simply because you will use quite a bit of data. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer So i do now you will have to go to the setting menu and activate the 5G setting. Also to get 5G would require 5G to be available in your area. If it still doesnt appear after verifying 5G in your area and activating the functionality then you might check with cuatomer support.

• A:Answer Yes and No. You're at the reliability of the local cell signal which can go out for any number of reasons and has the risk of signal interference. If you're just casually playing games with friends, then it can work. I use this to watch Hulu, browse the internet, and check emails when I'm away for work as the hotels rarely have a decent, stable connection. While I do game too from time-to-time when traveling for work, I don't play multiplayer games, only co-op. I'll play multiplayer games at home.
