Probably not. Most routers and wireless stations are much faster than 10mbps now.. your service provider is what is causing your issues....Sorry.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Orbi will make sure you have access to your full bandwidth anywhere in a typical home up to 3-4k sq. ft. That said, 10mbps is no longer a fast connection in today's world. Depending on what everyone else in your home is doing you could likely find the speed of your incoming connection to be the bottleneck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most definitely being you're spreading the workload / 3 access points.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will help, it routes overloads to an available hub so you are always at optimum speed. We are getting 134MPS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it wont, Based solely on your brief question/explanation, your problem seems to be related to you Internet (Century Link) speed. Every time a new device gets connected (your kids in this case) you'll start to share your internet bandwidth. The more concurrency you have (devices competing for internet bandwidth) the slower it will get, specially if some devices are doing video streaming, online gaming and etc. On a side note, based on personal experience I'd would recommend that you stay away from ORBI. I'm going to return mine to Best Buy today. Extremely unstable. Hope it helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) gives you 10 Megabits per second that is shared across all your devices, then that is the maximum total. If you end up dividing this by 5, your maximum speed for one of five devices will drop to about 2 Megabits per second. Getting a mesh system for your home will not change this. Think of it as a two lane road. The lanes do not widen no matter how many on/off ranps you have. You can often set rules up in your router to effect which devices get priority. This or increasing your bandwidth with your ISP is your best route.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I installed the Orbi about a month ago and although at first was very nervous about consistency since we had a very good router I have found that our download speeds have remained very consistent throughout the entire home. We usually have anywhere from 21 to 28 devices sharing the internet at any given time. I conduct speed tests on a regular basis from the router and also my phone and compute and find the speeds from my device to be very close to the router speeds.
