“I have AT&T 1000mbps fiber optics but the WiFi is not good. With the Orbi will I be able to decrease the speeds to 20mbps and still have faster internet speeds? Is the Orbi it’s own WiFi fast speed outside of AT&T or does it enhance AT&T speeds?”

ORBI is not a standalone wifi. It will only enhance the amount of speed/pipe you have coming into the house from your provider and give you that speed throughout a larger footprint.

There is a difference between modem speed and wireless speed (router/access point) to and from the modem. Orbi is the wireless aspect. Orbi 2 pack will give more wireless coverage than a single wireless household router. I have charter 200mb service and a single central wireless point in the house- central in the house i get full 200mb+ and farthest from the center -(one floor up 3 walls 35 feet) I get 120mb+. With the 2 Orbis i get the full 200+ even at the furthest point from the center of the house....
