My house has 4 separate breaker boxes - 1 main and 2 additions to house and 1 for shop. I plugged the AC adapter to main breaker portion of house and am using the wifi adapter on a circuit that is on additional breaker box inside the house. It works excellent. I had not tried it out in my shop until I read the question. So, I took the wifi adapter out to my shop which isnt quiet 100' from house (more like 60') and tried it out. It worked flawlessly...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have one set up in my house, It then goes out the power wires to a power pole then down to my work shop, There is about 45 ft of wire the signal is going thru, I watch my dish anywhere on my TV set in the shop and have wireless for my cell phone any it works great,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the electrical panels are connected, it will work. The newer powerline carriers use mimo technology which will use either the ground or neutral wires. They work awesome.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no guarantee with these things. It all depends on the wiring in your house. If the two boxes can find each other over your existing wiring, then it should work fine. If not then you may need to find another solution. You may have to try various outlets if doesn't work on the first try. Keep your receipt just in case. I've used these in two different houses now and both times it worked amazingly well with super fast connection speeds. Much faster speeds than when using a wifi extender. But it's all or nothing, so give it a try. That's the only way to know for sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an outbuilding that is just over 500' from my house and has its' own sub panel. I've been using this device to provide wifi at this outbuilding and its been working very well for a number of months now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I had heard that these things do not work across circuit breakers but I put one end in my house and the other side in my barn going across two circuit breaker panels
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't guarantee it will work other than you have to try it. Depending on how many circuit breakers etc. the signal has to jump through will determine how reliable your unit will work. Best bet it to purchase and give it a try. I believe they have a 14 day return policy on it should it not work.
