Ethernet cable not necessary unless you desire a direct connect. Back bedroom is router, 1000 ft. away is this device. I now have wifi in garage and backyard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can’t answer Max Feet but I do not have a cable ran. Mine is maybe 25-30 feet away in another room across the house and it has helped the WiFi in the kids bedrooms. They were having a lot of lag and freeze ups. It was super easy to establish a connection between it and a router (no cables needed, just a close proximity plug in for power) it’s been worth the money for me...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No ethernet cable is required, the ethernet connection is an option if you want to connect any devices that don't have wifi. When setting the wifi extender up, it will tell you if it's too far or too close, the distance is very relative, some places have walls with metal plates or maybe a concrete wall, that could block the signal or cause interference, but my recommendations is, don't set it up more than 30 ft away from the router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not need to plug an Ethernet cable into the extender. Although it does have the option to do that. You can connect it to your router wirelessly. I'm not sure on the max distance but when you plug the extender into an outlet the light on it will be green if it's a good signal, yellow if the signal is ok, and red if the signal is low. You can use this to judge a good distance to place it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No cable required it’s a WiFi extender range depends upon where it’s placed and the original signal from the existing router . walls will reduce range .i have bought several for different people average distance I’ve set up is usually between 20-30ft from original router with no issues
