The 522GW model connects through Bluetooth and WIFI so you'll need to be in a close range to connect to the app and review/download files. So when you're using Parking mode the file will be recorded and protected so it doesn't get overwritten and you'll have access to review it once you get near the device. A:AnswerAs with all lithium ion batteries it has reached end of life. It will need a replacement if you wish to turn it on without it being connected and holding a charge. You will need a 3.7V Rechargeable Li Polymer Battery LP402535 320mAh and will need to do some light soldering. If you are not comfortable with doing this, then you will want to find a professional to do so for you.

A:AnswerIt does not. They sell an optional tiny rear view camera that quickly plugs in the side of it. Note this only covers people inside the vehicle. Only perhaps useful to say Uber drivers? They sell another camera with a long wire that really needs to be hard installed mounted say by your license plate and the wire must run right to the base unit. This option will give you a good rear view. I like the camera but the battery life is terrible
