Q: QuestionI have an older model Night Owl probably 4 years old and it stopped recording. I called Night Owl and automation stated if it was more than 2 years old there is no support for it. Has anyone ever run into this problem or should I just junk it?

• A:Answer Lorex is much better, night owl we got for the first time and they’re not helpful anyways... and Best Buy didn’t understand the packaging either and gave us wired night owl (theyre so hot to the touch when plugged in, see my review JenEliza) the cords are a joke that come with the wired ones, they don’t say indoor/outdoor anywhere on packaging and the playback doesn’t function... it’s a horrible product and customer support couldn’t help us

• A:Answer DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY- this is my Night Owl review DO NOT BUY ANY NIGHT OWL PRODUCT! I have over a $1000 in a commercial Night Owl Camera security system. I purchased from Best Buy October of 2019! It took over 2 months to get it connected and up and running! I had to hire a local company to get it loaded and they also had issues!!! Night Owl tech support is none existent! When you actually get a warm body, you can’t understand them and their English is EXTREMELY lacking! I have an iPhone and the system will hardly ever load on my phone.... like it’s supposed to!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANY NIGHT OWL PRODUCT!

• A:Answer Yes you can,I found out if you just spray a little spider killing spray whatever you can pick up at your local walmart.just spray the area around the camera and on the camera if you choose.just not on the lenses and your basically goid to go for the time being till the effect goes away then just redo and back ready to start viewing a spider web free lense.

• A:Answer This systems are worthless. The sale of this systems should be discontinued until this company can afford to write a proper software for them. They are too inconsistent. They are useless if you use any OS other than android. With androids, you can watch live but chances of been able to successfully playback is almost zero. The newer version of this systems are even worse than previos. I bought the 10 camera version 2 years ago, it still works but will never play back unless I am physically there. Hoping they may have imptroved, I bought another unit - 8 camera version last Dec. It was a total waste again. The playback software is the biggest problem they have otherwise the hardware seem to run fine most of the time. You get epileptic loss of video sometime. Don't waste money on this systems.
