This camera is connected to my dvr that I purchased as a packaged deal with 2 cameras with the ability to connect to 2 more which I bought later. It does record to the dvr which you can view on your phone or smart tv. You will need a strong WiFi system. This camera also has the ability to use audio meaning you can speak through it and hear what is being said outside of your home I have not tried it when I am away from home. Not sure about the iPad but it works on my iPhone and my Samsung tablet. Don’t have an ipad.

This Camera is compatible with our Night Owl Gateway and can also as a replacement camera for our Night Owl WNVR. While using this as a standalone camera, you will view the live feed via the Night Owl Connect application, which is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones.
