- Answer I have a plug-in on my porch, so I just take off the cover and plug a cable into it while it's on the wall. I don't have a pre-existing doorbell system. I just use my phone with mine.

- Answer No you do not have to have monthly payments or have a subscription. All you need is the night owl connect app and power to the doorbell and it works great I’m very happy with it my whole house is protected by night owl cameras oh yes you also need to have WiFi also.
