The Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 Z lens cannot be used with a Nikon D7200 camera because they have completely different mounts. Nikon, like other camera manufacturers, is transitioning from cameras with mirrors in them, which for Nikon is all cameras starting with "D" such as D7200, D850, D6, etc. to the world of mirrorless cameras which for Nikon is the Z50, Z5, Z6, Z7 and the newly released Z6II and Z7II. The mount (the hole in the camera body where the lens attaches to the body) is much larger in the Z series cameras than in the D series cameras (which are also known as F-mount cameras). There are a number of 70-200 mm lenses, from Nikon and third party manufacturers, which are F-mount and thus fit the D series cameras. You just have to check that the lens focusing is not driven by a motor in the body of the camera; I'm not sure the D7200 has that motor. For instance, I have the Nikon 70-200 mm f/4 F-mount lens for D series Nikon cameras which is relatively smaller, relatively lighter, and costs much less than the f/2.8 version. Finally, you might consider spending your money buying a Nikon Z camera kit with a lens--I recommend the Z5 or Z6 with the 24-70 mm f/4 lens. This will provide very sharp images with a smaller and lighter body; it also has a full-frame sensor which is larger than that in the D7200. The photography world is moving to mirrorless cameras.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this connects to Z series Cameras. They have adapter for Z cameras to attach old AF-S lenses but not AF-S cameras (older, non Z, DSLR models), to attach the new Z series lenses to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a Nikkor S mount lens which can only be used with Nikon Z (mirrorless) camera bodies, unlike Nikon F mount lenses may be used with Nikon Z bodies via an FTZ Adaptor. If you are not planning on switching to a mirrorless camera in the near future I would recommend looking at the Nikon 70-300mm, the 28-300mm or the 70-200mm f/2.8. Either of those would be excellent choices for your D7200 and would transition to mirrorless via the adaptor should you choose to make the switch in the future.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this lens is specifically for the Nikon Z series (Z50, Z6, Z7, etc) which has its own mount. For the D7200 you’ll need a lens with the F-mount.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. This lens uses a Z mount, designed for Nikon’s mirrorless systems. Look for the F mount variant of the lens for your 7200.
