A:AnswerThe Nikon Z 6 is compatible with a wide variety of F-mount lenses when the Mount Adapter FTZ is attached to it. Both the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5 -5.6G ED VR Standard Zoom lens and the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR lens are designed to capture sharp and vibrant subjects near and far; however, the 18-300mm is a DX-format lens, which would introduce a 1.5 crop factor to your full-frame images, while the 28-300mm is optimized to work with an full-frame format camera like the Nikon Z 6 and will not have this crop. Even with this difference, either would make a great addition to your growing camera bag.
A:AnswerBoth of these lenses would be amazing choices when paired with the Nikon D7500 Digital SLR. The AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR will have the better range of the two and is a DX lens, meaning it will be optimized for the D7500's DX "Crop" sensor. The AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR will allow for the wider open aperture at 300mm making it the faster of the two lenses. This lens was made for our FX Full Frame sensor cameras so it will be fully optimized for a wider range of cameras.
A:AnswerAF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5 -5.6G ED VR Standard Zoom Lens is fully compatible with the D5100. When used on a DX format DSLR like the D5100 the maximum angle of view is 53° and the minimum angle of view is 5°20'.

A:AnswerA DX lens will be indicated by the letters "DX" in the lens name, for example: AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR. DX lenses also have "DX" on the barrel of the lens.
The AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR is an FX lens and therefore does not have either of these indcations.
A:AnswerEverything works perfectly on every digital Nikon, both FX and DX, including digitals like the D40, D40x, D60, D3000, D3100, D3200, D5100 and D5000.
A:AnswerThe Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR listed here does have Super Integrated Coating (SIC), which stands for an optical element in the Nikkor lens that is multilayered. A:AnswerYes, this is a dedicated full-frame lens. I have used this lens for wildlife and motorsport photography and have been pleased with the quality of my photos.
A:AnswerYour camera is a DX so I would choose a DX lens the 18-300 .. I believe the 18-300 is also lighter I believe because it’s more plastic .. I chose the 28-300 for a full frame camera not that it’s exclusive to it .. I have an 18-300 on my d7100 and it’s a great lens it is a bit more if memory serves me right .. so if $$ is the object then look at Tamron as well .. but if you have narrowed down to both these specific lenses then get the 18-300
A:AnswerYes , easily , however be aware it is a heavy lens and your D850 is brick like heavy already , but yes it will and is a great walking around all purpose lens over all .. Do remember it’s not weather sealed so if you plan to be doing wild life photos take a big z-lock bag in your camera bag and cut a hole in it for lens to poke through and you will be fine
A:AnswerThe Nikon D850 has the ability to use nearly all Nikon F mount Lenses, the AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5 -5.6G ED VR Lens would be a fantastic choice to pair with the D850.
